Welcome to 2022, Readers and Writers! The first post of the year is going to be an update on me, my blog, and a sneak peak at what I have in store for the new year. Me!First off, I am excited to announce that I am officially finished university! I completed all of my courses this past fall 2021 semester, and now I am free to start my life as a non-student. I won't lie, I'm a little nervous and uncertain. I don't know what the future holds for me at the moment. Nevertheless, I'm excited to begin and go with the flow! And, I plan to begin working on my novel full time. I may start giving a few hints here and there, but I'm not entirely sure yet. My Blog & InstagramOne of the things I want to do this year is maintain posting. I feel like I have been doing a great job at posting since my blog refresh, yet there were a couple of weeks when I didn't post on time. I may have also slipped on my monthly Book Recommendation Thursday post towards the end of 2021. This year I definitely want to do better. I realize life happens sometimes, but this is something I love doing. Even more so now that I have special keyboard—which I can't say much about because I plan on creating a post about it within the next few weeks! As for my Instagram page, I've noticed I don't do as much with it. Therefore, I might be creating my first reel and start posting a few things here and there in addition to my blog. It sounds like a lot of work (and it's a little daunting, too) but I've always said I'm going to do what I love and that's writing. The other thing I want to do this year is finally finish the publications page because I haven't done so yet. There have been a few more additions to the list and I can't wait to share them all with you. Oh, and I might add a few new post categories, but for now I'll continue with Musings, Poems, The Writing Life, Short Stories, and Book Recommendations with the odd Update tossed in. Sneak Peak...I've already hinted at a special keyboard post, but I'll give you a few more things to look forward to! This week's Book Recommendation will commemorate one of my favourite author's who passed last year. One of the poems I plan to post honours the publication of the final book from my favourite series. And...I might broaden my writing platform on another social media site...which is yet to be determined. Well, here's to a new year filled with possibility, health, and hope. Happy Writing and Reading! ~ Mady

Hey there Readers and Writers! Something feels different...I wonder what it is? Oh, that's right! I refreshed my blog page :) About a week ago, I was inspired to begin my blog again because someone wanted to share their experience with one of my favourite authors and writing teachers, Natalie Goldberg, through their own blog. This person showed me that blogging was quite simple, actually, even though I haven't felt that way since I created my blog page in 2018. I know! 2018 seems like forever ago, especially since we're in 2020 still. It is 2020, right? (I'm kidding, but am I???) Anyways, the new design of my blog makes me really happy. It's encouraging me to produce content and step out of my comfort zone. As I mentioned before, I didn't know what I was doing when I started my page. I was afraid to post because I didn't know what to post about. In all honesty, I still don't, but I'm figuring it out as I go. Research is a wonderful thing! Since 2018, I have steadily grown as a writer, and a person. The refresh is a new start in many ways, and I can't wait to share more of what I have been working on! As I begin posting and sharing different things with you, readers and writers, I encourage you to comment and share your thoughts. Until next time, ~ Mady
Happy New Year! This post has been weeks in the making (don't let the length fool you!). As much as I wanted to start the new year off with a bang, I needed to take some time to figure out where I wanted my writing life to go. As you all have noticed, I don't spend much time on my blog, nor my Instagram account. As of this moment, I have plans in place to begin anew by putting in the time and effort my creative writing life deserves. I'm still attending University, but I am making a few changes that will allow me to focus on creating content for my blog and Instagram. GoalsWithout further ado, here are my goals for this year:
....and that's all for now. Thank you so much for reading and for your patience while I continue to figure everything out. I love writing so much, and I have been, but I haven't been actively sharing my work. It's my hope that this changes, and the only way I can change it is by doing something. ~ Mady
My fellow readers, I have returned from summer vacation! I had a blast at Disney World, and even got a tan from the Florida sun, which, is very unnatural for me (I burn—red as a tomato!) But, now that I'm back, I'll be continuing the poems I write very Monday and Friday on my Instagram account, and the book recommendations I write on Thursday's. I may change it to Wednesday's instead, but we'll see what the tide brings. I just wanted to say that my blog is still active—I just stopped while I was on vacay, as I wanted to spend time with my family. Hope you guys will tune in tomorrow for the book recommendation! ~ Mady
Hey guys! I have been busy writing poems and short stories for two up-coming contests, and I have also been working on my own novel! It's coming along really well, as I almost done the 4th draft! :) I hope to publish it in the near future! Also, if you haven't seen it yet, please check out my Instagram writing account. It is accessible through the little icon at the bottom of the About page. I post poems, and dialogue prompts every Monday and Friday, so if you haven't seen any of them, please head there! Also, please read the material I have posted on my Writing Blog if you haven't yet. I would love some comments, things you enjoyed, and things I could work on. It would really help me develop the writing craft. And, if you want to suggest a writing prompt yourself, please do so! I would love to take a crack at it, and post it once I'm finished! Hope everyone has a great rest of week! Adios, amigos! ~ Mady
